JX, was born in East Los Angeles in 1984 to Mexican American parents. His very first musical influence was his father, a great guitarist. He came from a family full of musicians.

At an early age, JX would spend hours sitting through his father’s rehearsal sessions absorbing the music. At 13 years old, instead of following the path of drug dealing and gang violence like so many of his friends in the neighborhood, JX chose an alternate route. It was the first time he heard Hip Hop pioneers such as Run DMC that unleashed his inspiration to undertake music production. “Run DMC was my first influence in Rap music and I have been hooked ever since”, explain JX. His passion for music led him to a collection of a vast variety of 10,000 records so naturally he began to DJ like many other great producers like him. Other early influences include Dr. Dre, DJ Premiere, and DJ Muggs.

“My ultimate goal is to become a successful music producer”, says JX.  “This is what my passion is, this is what I do.”  He is already on his way. He has had the opportunity to work with many of West Coasts’ finest. This is just the beginning for JX…
